Japan International Letter-writing Week: 6 stamps using illustrations by Utagawa Hiroshige. One has a pair of Mandarin Duck (Aix galericulata). A second has a "Little bird on the ridge". The best image I found of this artwork does not really help with identifying the bird. Its head looks like that of a Eurasian Bullfinch (Pyrrhula pyrrhula), but it is probably left as a "fantasy bird". 9 October 2019 Thumb down Japan Philately
Botswana Cranes of Botswana: 4 stamps featuring Blue Crane (Grus paradisea), Grey Crowned-Crane (Balearica regulorum) and Wattled Crane (Grus carunculatus) on two stamps. I received a large image of the brochure from which I extracted the technical details, and FDC

9 October 2019 Tick Botswana Post
Malawi I received an email from Malawi Post that a new issue called "Domesticated Birds of Malawi" is due out soon and more recently, saw this comment on Commonwealth Stamps Opinion, which prompted me to ask for details. Today, I received by email 2 photographs of the issue. The sheet of 6 stamps features "Chinziri", Common Quail (Coturnix coturnix) {source}, "Nkhanga", Helmeted Guineafowl (Numida meleagris), "Nkhuku tembo", Turkey (Meleagris gallopavo), "Nkhnda", Rock Pigeon (Columba livia), "Bakha", Duck and "Tambala", Chicken. The 6 souvenir sheets feature the same species. The date on each stamp suggests that this issue was prepared to be issued last year. 8 October 2019 Tick Commonwealth Stamps Opinion and Malawi Post

Update: I just noticed that these stamps do not have the usual country name "Caribisch Nederland", just "Saba". The 2016 issue "Birds of Bonaire" does have the country name. Does this invalidate them?
4 October 2019 Tick WOPA
Italy A correspondent in Italy has informed me that the Europa issue will consist of 2 stamps featuring Bonelli's Eagle (Aquila fasciata) and European Goldfinch (Carduelis carduelis). No images have been published, nor has the date been confirmed.

Azerbaijan Europa: a souvenir sheet and two stamps featuring Eurasian Hoopoe (Upupa epops), Common Rosefinch (Carpodacus erythrinus) and Chukar (Alectoris chukar). Ross Cape Adare - 5 stamps. The $3.30 value has a group of penguins that must be Adelie Penguin (Pygoscelis adeliae), because "Cape Adare in Antarctica is home to the world's largest Adelie Penguin colony." The top value has the very surprising Eurasian Treecreeper (Certhia familiaris) or is it Short-toed Treecreeper (Certhia brachydactyla)? Information about the issue informs us that "This delicate watercolour of a Northern Hemisphere bird known as a tree creeper was unearthed from a pile of mould-covered papers found on a bunk in the Cape Adare accommodation hut in 2016." 18 September 2019 Thumb down New Zealand Post
Tuvalu Seabirds: sheetlet with 4 stamps featuring Bristle-thighed Curlew (Numenius tahitiensis), Red-footed Booby (Sula sula), Great Crested Tern (Sterna bergii) and Pacific Reef-Heron (Egretta sacra). The souvenir sheet has Black-naped Tern (Sterna sumatrana). 18 September 2019 Thumb down IGPC

Germany 250th birthday of Alexander von Humboldt: one stamp featuring a small image of a bird which I am trying to identify. It has some characteristics that suggest Eurasian Wryneck (Jynx torquilla), but I've never seen a yellow one! Any suggestions?
Update A much better suggestion than Wryneck is Northern Andean Flicker (Colaptes cinereicapillus) which is consistent with the South American theme, and is yellowish.
Update However, the bird on the stamp does not look right for a Flicker, and I have been unable to locate details of the painting that was used for the stamp, so I think it is best to leave this particular bird as "unidentifiable".

Georgia Europa: single featuring Ring-necked Pheasant (Phasianus colchicus).
Update Georgia Post has published in Georgian a page featuring this stamp. The Google translation of this page makes no mention of a second stamp, but perhaps this page was put together hastily to get the stamp included in the PostEurop competition. The date on the page (May 16) might refer to the intended issue date, but I have not seen any sales of this stamp.
Update I have been sent this image of the full issue which is apparently now available for purchase, but it has not appeared on Georgia Post's website. The second stamp in the issue features Eurasian Sparrowhawk (Accipiter nisus). The same image was used on a 2002 stamp issued with the name "Guinea". A detailed view of the source picture by Gould reveals that the prey is House Sparrow (Passer domesticus), and a second Sparrow is flying away just below the tail of the perched Sparrowhawk.
Update This FDC gives the date.

I fail to see why there would be two owls on one stamp showing such a difference in size. Perhaps the designer decided to show a size comparison between the Tawny Owl and a Little Owl (Athene noctua)! 2 July 2019 Tick Delcampe

A better view might reveal whether it is Red-billed Oxpecker (Buphagus erythrorhynchus) or Yellow-billed Oxpecker (Buphagus africanus). Both are possible, but the latter is more likely. Commonwealth Stamps Opinion reported the date of issue as 24 April 2019, but this cover may be showing the intended date, although the stamps all have "2018". Confusingly, I had received an email from Malawi Post early in April informing me that there would be a new issue of " 'endangered animals' on 27 April 2019". French Polynesia I have received by mail a flyer which includes the programme for 2019. The first issue of 2 stamps has the topic "endangered species", one of which is "Le Pétrel". This is likely to be Polynesian Storm-Petrel (Nesofregetta fuliginosa), but I await confirmation.
Update: I received by email a PDF announcing this issue, which reveals that the Petrel is actually Tahiti Petrel (Pterodroma rostrata), but the second stamp has Tahiti Monarch (Pomarea nigra).

Russia The issue plan for 2018/9 (in Russian) includes "Europa birds" but with no further details.

Update: This picture confirms it.

Curaçao Tourism, 6 stamps. One has a Bananaquit (Coereba flaveola) feeding from a plate with sugar on a window sill. I occasionally check out a webcam on Bonaire where sugar is placed in a dish which attracts many Troupials, and when they leave, hordes of Bananaquits descend to take what's remaining. If you happen to watch in Bonaire's night time, you may see bats feeding. 21 January 2019 Tick Cpost International
