The 25b clearly shows an Egret near a river, and I suspect it is the Great Egret (Egretta alba), but flying over are two ducks. The front one shows a green head and chestnut breast which is good enough to call it a Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos). The second is too indistinct to identify. | ![]() |

The 2.40l shows an owl perched on a branch close to the trunk. With its slight "ear" tufts, it could be Scops Owl (Otus scops).

The MS with its 5l stamp showing a forest scene has two specks of birds perched in the trees which are surprisingly identifiable as Magpie (Pica pica) and Black Woodpecker (Dryocopus martius). The woodpecker is not perched correctly with its tail close to the trunk.
Does anyone have any further observations about this trio? |
