I first learned about this set through CASB's excellent site. It continues a series of sets issued by various countries publicising Birdlife International. I hope some of the profits from this series does go to benefit bird protection in the issuing coutries. The species shown on this set, splendidly portrayed by bird artist Norman Arlott, are all endemic to Jamaica, with only the Tody having appeared on an earlier stamp in 1980. |
