Thailand has regularly produced excellent short sets of bird stamps. After a five-year gap, we are presented with this beautiful set featuring parrots of the region, issued 13 January, 2001.

Three of the species have featured on stamps previously, but these illustrations are easily the best in my collection. The 8 Baht stamp shows a new species for my collection: Psittinus cyanurus which is found in south-western Thailand, Malaysia, Sumatra and Borneo.
